Save the Children invites application for the following position
Deputy Manager – Sexual and Gender Based Violence
(1 position based in Dhaka, contractual for 1 year)
Responsibilities:
  • The Deputy Manager – Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) will be responsible for understanding, analysing, and coordinating knowledge development and research to strengthen the SGBV program of Save the Children.
  • S/he will also be responsible for evidence based advocacy, which will contribute in the national agenda, including the NPA for child marriage.
  • The Deputy Manager is expected to manage and supervise the implementation of the Child Protection component of a one year integrated project (That’s No Way to Marry) with the guidance of the Manager-Child Protection (SGBV focal point).
  • S/he will also assist in ensuring quality reporting to donor, facilitate program advocacy initiatives for the project, and will be responsible for financial and procurement follow ups with the relevant departments.
Requirements:
  • Masters Degree, preferably in the Social Sciences/Anthropology/Development Studies or relevant discipline, at least 5 years experience in program management, preferably within Child Protection, in particular SGBV. S/he is expected to have proven experience and capacity to undertake & manage research activities.
  • Excellent skill on program and partner management, experience on budget management and knowledge of monitoring and evaluations, good writing skills in English & Bangla and proficiency in MS Office and other data processing software.
